Last week, Harvey 152 held our first Hispanic Heritage Celebration. The event’s theme was "Unidos, Somos Más" ("Together, We Are More") Students from across the district brought Hispanic culture to life with a Living Wax Museum highlighting people of Latin descent and their impact on art, music, literature, and history. The audience, made up of parents, students, and community members, enjoyed a great performance by MARIACHI VERSATIL CENTENARIO. This is just the beginning as we continue to celebrate all cultures in our district.
Special thanks to our District events staff, including our parent coordinators, teachers, and staff. Also, thank you to our School Board of Education member, Ms. Sandra Contreras, for her help in solidifying the performers and vendors. We look forward to next year.
