Harvey School District 152 welcomed the annual IASB South Cook Division meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. School Boards from the South Suburban area gathered at Maya Angelou School in Harvey to discuss local and state taxes and how they relate to the school district. Board members had the chance to ask questions to a panel of government experts, including Harvey 152 alumnus and former Harvey resident, Illinois State Representative William "Will" Davis (29th).
Our School Board members received the IASB award and flag in recognition of our participation in the association.
We want to thank our Board of Education President, Janet Rogers, and Superintendent Dr. Dana Nichols for their vision and leadership during the event. We also appreciate the dedication of Maya Angelou School’s Principal, Mrs. Erica Smith; Assistant Principal Dr. Frank Davis; the Maya Angelou team; and the entire Harvey152 special events team for making the evening memorable for all South Cook County School Board members.
